         <description><![CDATA[<div>I went for a walk yesterday with Paul (my other half) and spied wild strawberries by the path.&nbsp; We hadn't noticed them at first but once one had appeared, there were more.&nbsp; Bikes were whizzing past, nobody noticed except us and the birds.&nbsp; We did leave some for them! (PS - pdf above keeps the intended shape of the poem.)<br><br><strong>Wild Strawberries</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Look,</div><div>move closer,</div><div>above the leaf litter</div><div>a flash of colour.</div><div>Way down low,</div><div>treasure</div><div>lies.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Rubies.</div><div>Tiny red jewels</div><div>sparkle, hidden beneath</div><div>purple ragged robin and&nbsp;</div><div>striped plantain leaves.&nbsp;</div><div>Perfectly ripe</div><div>gifts.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>First,</div><div>a surprise.</div><div>Then the rest appear.</div><div>The veil draws back, reveals</div><div>red polka dots on a green</div><div>tapestry blanket.</div><div>Sweet and</div><div>soft.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>We</div><div>pick alone</div><div>and share together.</div><div>Finds disappear whole</div><div>in one delicious motion.&nbsp;</div><div>None make it home.</div><div>The soft fruit of&nbsp;</div><div>Summer</div><div>sun.</div>]]></description>
