         <description><![CDATA[<div>1978:<br>Prohibits the discrimination of pregnant women, childbirth, or related medical conditions. The act added rules to the employment of pregnant women, like agencies must permit a pregnant woman to do her job as long as she is capable of. Other rules consists of not denying assignments or promotions because of the pregnancy and the employer cannot discriminate an employee who has had an abortion.</div>]]></description>

In Texas there was a law where getting an abortion was a felony, so Roe sued Wade, the district attorney of Dallas County, saying that it violated the guarantee of personal liberty and the right of privacy. The Court invalidated any state laws that prohibited first trimester abortions.</div>]]></description>
