Her posture is straight but not stiff, she is demonstrating energy with her arms and her face. She is smiling, her eyes are twinkling. What really indicate surprise are the open mouth and the arms/hands with the fingers pointing. She is enthusiastic.

Tears can be several things including happy. I selected this picture because Oprah's mouth is not in a smile but rather in a "cry" and her eyes are just a touch blood shot.  Additionally her shoulders are hunched. All of these cues put together indicate that these are sad tears.

She is communicating that she is an unwavering force to be reckoned with and that her anger is her fuel.
