El Geiser, is a spa out of the ordinary, without detracting from others, this site concentrates the usual attractions such as pools, slides, water games for children, barbecues, palapas, etc., but to that, it adds a feature that makes it very special, its hot springs and the natural phenomenon that gave it its name...

After being closed for a while due to the pandemic, it opened its doors again very recently. What do you think if we discover more about this destination and its particular charm?
El Geiser Spa Resort is located in the Magical Town of Tecozautla, in the state of Hidalgo; a little less than 3 hours from the state capital, Pachuca de Soto. 

To get to this complex from Mexico City it is 198 km by road to Queretaro and from Santiago de Queretaro it is 95 km by road Queretaro - Tequisquiapan; there are other routes, but these are the closest access. 

There is also the alternative of arriving to the place by truck, leaving from the Central del Norte in CDMX or from the bus stations of other destinations, towards Tecozautla and get off at the turnoff to the Geiser, where you can find a cab or van to the point of arrival. 

The general entrance fee to the spa is $120 Mexican pesos and gives access to the resort facilities; however, there may be special activities that have an extra cost such as zip lines at $150. 

The entrance fee to El Geiser is charged for children 3 years of age and older. 

You will also find in its facilities 2 restaurants with a variety of a la carte menus; open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

On the other hand, the spa at El Geiser offers a variety of services to pamper you, such as a variety of holistic massages, baby massages, pregnancy massages, etc.

Other services include free parking, lifeguards, medical service, grocery store, restrooms and showers, barbecue grills, etc.

Those who visit the Geiser say that the place is a paradise to enjoy to the fullest, no matter your age, among the variety of activities you can do in the complex is easy to find one or more that are to your liking. 

In the park you can enjoy two huge pools, one of them with ideal water to cool off and with a splash pool area for the little ones. 

The other pool is deeper and has water temperature up to 80°, with artificial caves with thermal water. 

The pool area is surrounded by palapas and there are also some hanging bridges from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the entire complex. 

The play area in the pools, the slides and slides are the children's favorites and you can also enjoy a few minutes of relaxation in the whirlpool. 

If you want a little adrenaline, try the canopy circuit, with several zip lines that cross from one end of the park to the other; it has an extra cost. 

And we leave for last the icing on the cake, the volcanic vent or geyser, a natural steam sauna product of the steam columns that escape from between the hills and reach temperatures of up to 95 °, you can enjoy them walking around or resting in one of the niches arranged there. 

It is worth mentioning that due to the pandemic, some attractions and/or services may be interrupted.

Your adventure in this beautiful park can be for a day, a weekend or the time you prefer and the good thing is that it has a very good infrastructure of lodging and services.

Without being as ancient as the Chinese or as renowned as the French, Japanese cuisine is present in more and more countries and gains followers day by day.

Among the most important dishes that can be eaten in Japan are:

Sushi: Cooked rice marinated with different ingredients. The most common is that it is accompanied by raw fish or shellfish, although it is not the only variety.
Sashimi: It could be defined as raw fish or seafood carpaccio.
Ramen: Japanese noodle soup. You can take soup of different types (salt, soy or miso) and different accompaniments (chicken, loin, eggs, etc.).
Okonomiyaki: Some compare it to pizza and others to an omelette. Okonomiyaki is a mass of several ingredients cooked on the grill.
Yakitori: Although it has traditionally been a grilled chicken skewer, today you can find yakitori made of beef, fish, shellfish and other ingredients.
Gyoza: Steamed dumpling passed through the iron, similar to Chinese Dim Sum.
Yakisoba: Fried noodles with a flavor that is difficult to define.
Teriyaki: More than a dish, it is a cooking technique. It has a sweet flavor and is served with various ingredients.
Tempura: Fried vegetables, seafood or meats with a light batter.
Fugu: The famous puffer fish, very expensive and poisonous, can only be consumed in authorized places.
Budget
Eating out in Tokyo, and in Japan in general, can be surprisingly cheap. In most of the street places you will find dishes from ¥600 (US$4.60) and, believe us, one dish is more than enough for almost everyone.

In addition to the low price of the dishes, in all the restaurants they serve free water and tea. On the other hand, you have to remember that you don't have to leave a tip.

The former residence of the Russian politician Leon Trotsky, is another museum that you cannot miss. The collection holds posters, documents, and furniture as they were used while he lived there.
 
An interesting fact is that you can also see the study where he was assassinated, which over the years has become a scene that, although it looks like a set up. It is not. His belongings remained intact from that tragic day.
 
If you are a lover of cinematography, you must visit La Cineteca Nacional. This building dedicates itself to highlights of international filmography. You will have the opportunity to enjoy films that you could only see during film festivals.
