I believe Diebles is a great benchmark assessment because it is done three times per year and assess what students have learned over the course of the year.

This test is high stakes for schools as it determines our students capabilities moving forward and can affect school funding, star ratings, and much more.

Example: Notebook tracking specific abilities during learning time in order to support specific students.

iReady is a great tool that tracks student growth daily at our school and will notify the teacher if a student is struggling. It will tailor back on lessons as well as push students forward as needed.

We use this for progress monitoring every other week to monitor their progress after a two week period of intervention.

MAP is a standardized test where students receive a score in comparison to peers in their grade level. This allows the country to determine students who are in need of extra support to aide in closing the gap.

This would take place three times per year in my school. Once in the beginning, middle, and end. Students are expected to produce a work of writing with a rubric and instructions all on their own. This assesses if they are able to get better at the same prompt over time.

Students are given this test to compare to the rest of the country.
