In 2001, two powerful and deadly earthquakes devastated the country of El Salvador and killed many of its civilians. A vast number of immigrants and the El Salvadoran government have pleaded to the United States and the President Trump to extend program, just like in previous years. The president of the United States, Donald Trump, had ended a humanitarian program that has served as a sanctuary from violence, gang crimes, and poverty for many Salvadorians. The Trump administration is giving Salvadorians until September of 2019 to find a way from them to legally stay in the country. After that, they will have no permission to stay in the United States. Trump is forcing/ kicking out a great number of Salvadorians who are only in this country for protection, protection from the cruel reality that is happening in their own country in El Salvador. Instead of welcoming them with open arms, the U.S is closing its arms and pushing all Salvadorians who only want peace and safety out.
