Whenever I heard the term slavery, I instantly thought of movies such as "12 years a slave" or the endless history lessons I had been thought of slavery in the past. I wasn't informed at all about modern day slavery, except in fast-fashion or other industries that exploit people for economic purposes. Other than that, I was very ignorant on such topic.
