Capricorn-My Classical Zodiac sign

Pricus was the first sea-goat he was known for his connection to Chronos (titan of time) who created Pricus and gifted him the ability to alter/rewind time. Pricus’s children would often drag their bodies onto the sandy shore to enjoy the sunshine. The more time they spent on shore, the more they began to resemble a regular goat (losing their fish tails, their ability to speak, and their ability to think). This was very upsetting to Pricus and he repeatedly tried to keep his children from going on to the shore by turning back time. He forbade his children from setting foot on land, but no matter what he tried, the sea-goats continued to find their way on shore where they became regular goats. He made several attempts to reverse time and change their minds, but it never worked. He resigned himself to the idea of being alone, and he stopped reversing time. Instead, he allowed the young sea-goats to live out their destiny. Feeling depressed, Pricus asked Chronos to allow him to die. He could not imagine being the only sea-goat left behind. Chronos did not fulfill his request, but he instead granted him the ability to live immortally in the sky. By becoming the constellation Capricorn, Pricus could watch over his children from the stars.

The Horse- My Chinese Zodiac

In Chinese legend there was a horse that had wings who could run on the ground, swim in the water, and fly in the sky. This horse was named Holy Horse, and was a royal horse of the Jade Emperor. The horse was arrogant because of the Jade Emperor's love and indulgence, and it often ran wild. One day, the horse left the Heavenly Palace and went to the East Sea because it wanted to break into the Dragon Palace. The Holy Turtle guarding the Dragon Palace led shrimp soldiers and crab generals to fight against the horse. The Holy Horse was so angry that it kicked the Holy Turtle to death. As punishment, the Jade Emperor ordered that the horse's wings to be cut off and buried under the Kunlun Mountain for 300 years. More than 200 years later, the human ancestor Ren Zu would pass by the Kunlun Mountain; the god in charge of the Royal Horse Stable for the Heavenly Palace told the horse, and planned with it to find a way to break out of the mountain. When Ren Zu passed by the mountain, the horse shouted: "hi, you kind-hearted! Please save me and I will work for you with my life." After Ren Zu heard what the horse said, he was sympathetic, so he cut down the peach tree on the top of the mountain and the horse jumped out after a loud noise. Grateful to Ren Zu for saving its life, the horse came to the mortal world and worked for Ren Zu. Like any other horse, it ploughed, pulled a cart, and carried things without complaint. In wartime, it ran on the battle fields, went through fire and water and became the inseparable friend of human beings. When the Jade Emperor was to select the twelve zodiac animals, the horse was recommended by human beings. The Jade Emperor agreed because the horse had atoned for its crimes by helping humanity.

Makara- My Hindu Zodiac

Makara is the Sanskrit word that means either Sea Dragon or Water Monster (it is a mythical sea creature). It is usually described as half terrestrial animal and half aquatic animal. For its terrestrial half it could consist of either an elephant, crocodile, or even a deer (this generally made up the frontal portion of it). Its aquatic half was usually either part fish or part seal. Makara is the Hindu equivalent to the zodiac sign, Capricorn, the sea goat. It is often told to be the main mode of transportation for the Hindu river goddesses Ganga and Narmada, and the sea god Varuna. The Makaras are told to be monsters that lurked in and protected the water. During the time of the creation of these myths, people used to travel only through water. They worshipped the Makara believing that it will protect them and offer them safe travel through any body of water. The Makara was seen as an object of fear and the symbol of unknown. It was very common in the ancient times to have Makara symbols in the boats and oars as they believed it as a tailsman to protect the boat from crocodiles and other aquatic animals. It is commonly found in the frontal gates of many Hindu and Buddhist Temples around India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and many more. As they were considered to be the gate keepers and protectors of the Temples.

The Stag— My Celtic Zodiac

Deers were believed to be a part of the fairy world and had magical powers. Celts thought that since deer lived deep in the forest, they could have secret knowledge. Deer are very prominent in Celtic mythology. For example, deer pulled the chariot of Flidass, the Celtic Goddess of Wild Things. However, it is the white stag that had the most significance as it was believed that the white stag was a messenger of the gods. Whenever a white stag was seen, it was believed that important events would soon follow. The Celts also thought that the white stag appeared when one was doing something forbidden.
