<title>in macbeth power is very literal becuase the powwer postion in the text is a king, this postsion gives man the resource of an enterire kingdom and their lands king but sadly when macbeth does get the throne its not out of some want for land or wealth its his pure ideation and fixation on pure he craves this is dervived from his toxic masculine traits he craves to be on top. where as in mean girls power is in status, popularity and blackmail. cady wants this power becuase she feels excluded from the school, and beleieves that with it she&#39;d be able to win the boy over with her new found status jb</title>

<title>Macbeth, Regina, Banquo, Gretchen and Lady Macbeth are portrayed as ambitious in different ways. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth crave power and status. Banquo does as well but he&#39;s more excited about his future prospects with his descendants getting the throne. Gretchen tries to be as powerful as Regina. Regina&#39;s ambitions involve keeping the power she currently holds over everyone and getting rid of those who get in her way, similar to Macbeth. As for Cady, she doesn&#39;t become ambitious until Regina interrupts her plans with her crush. Then, Cady plans to take her down with Janis manipulating her to do so. s.w</title>

<title>Power gives characters in both Macbeth and Mean Girls a sense of invincibility. When more power is gained, their confidence and ambition grows, to the point where they see no means to ever stop and be content. As their power evolves, the characters continue to receive what they were chasing, but are never satisfied with what they have already accompished. Both texts suggest that although ambition is a strong drive to have in life, it can make you power hungry and lead to corruption- and eventually, your downfall. afvr</title>

<title>KH - People want power so they can be recognised by others, whether they want other to fear them or follow them depends on the person, by seizing power may not always get you what you want or have the outcome you believed would come from he power. In Maceth the power is a more literal, or closer to a hierarchy, whereas Mean girls shows a social status as their hierarchy. Through the text the Authors might be suggesting that having the power isn&#39;t always gracious as it seems and it matters how you act and who you hurt to gt your power.</title>

<title>Although their motives may differ, The Macbeths, Banquo, Regina and Cady are the most obvious characters in the texts who are potrayed as ambitious. The Macbeths are power hungry (it fluctuates during different parts of the story) and with that, involves ranking. In comparison, Banquo acts far less in the name of his ambition- although he&#39;s greatly intrigued by what the prophecy will gift him and his sons. Regina on the other hand wishes to uphold her current status and power, and will defeat anyone underneath her that may challenge it. Although Cady was originally manipulated to deceive The Plastics, her own ambition grew as she began to experience that taste for power (creating her own plans). afvr </title>

<title>both texts lead to the characters personality being warped into something vile. this happens due to their absolute fixations on power they ignore all else in a blind pursuit. leading to immoral descicons and a lose of self as deomstraighted in macbeth when macbeth begins to abuse and y&#39;all at all his servant s he lost all that made him, he was left with only his murder and ambition and died with it. compare this to mean girls nd she loses her friends and the boy due to her cravings 0f populartiy jb</title>

<title>the old adage &quot;power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely&quot; suits the ark of gaining power in both the texts. They get what they originally desired but it comes with a corrupting force that eventually leaves the characters seeking power for the sake of power. -JA</title>

<title>M.S Both texts portray the inevitable downfall of characters caused by corrupt motives, highlighting to the audience the dangers of unchecked desire. In Macbeth, ambition is presented as a high risk quality and the cause of defeat. When the tyrannical leader begins to celebrate his violent leadership and &#39;forgets the taste of fear&#39;, his &#39;vaulting ambition&#39; makes him blind to threats and leads to his downfall. Similary to Macbeths portrayle of unchecked ambition, &#39;Mean Girls&#39; also presents the conseqeunces of being power hungry and obbsesed with gaining a higher status. Cady&#39;s unhealthy fixation with reaching the top of the social heirachy, through means of &#39;major plastic sabotage&#39; and deception, causes her to become the corrupt bully she despised. </title>

<title>KH - In both texts it shows the downfall of their power caused by their ambition in the first place.
