I longed for attention and connection with my peers but I was bullied all throughout grade school and well into middle school. I had two teachers that made me feel seen and it wasn't until I was in highschool where I ran into one of them again that I realized I wanted to be exactly like them. Walking around in their neighbourhood with their partner and a young woman comes up to them and tells them how much they impacted their life just by being a wonderful teacher. I want to be that wonderful teacher.
