Parents were able to "listen" during conferences and students were able to bring smart phones to class to "listen" to other stories.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I'm very fortunate that I teach some VERY motivated, capable students as the TAG teacher, so this redefinition phase of the unit has kind of emerged without much pre-planning. An example...the two 4th graders who created the Sketch-Up models in the modification section decided (that after their Dream Houses were complete) to partner on a 29th Street Mall redesign project. They are disappointed with their local mall so have decided to revamp it and (hopefully!) present their plan to city planners or city council when complete! Mall is still in early phases, but check it out...</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As an introduction to a PBL unit on chemical reactions, students participated in a modified jigsaw. They chose 1 of 5 texts to work with and reated a video summary of their text on a Flipgrid shared with ~100 students. They viewed videos from other students who focused on th same text to refine their thinking and understanding about the text. They then view video summaries created by students who had chose different texts. They finished by synthesizing their thinking about plastic pollution on a shared Schoology discussion.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
