I cannot forget one moment because it teaches me a lot. There was an event when you came to the stage and gave the high school students gifts. Students were short, and instead of standing, you kneed down while taking the pictures. I did learn from that "simple" but meaningful behavior the respect of others...

Nothing could be further than the truth for Rohit. Ask anyone at VinUni - students, staff, faculty, even janitorial staff - every one of us could tell a story about when you treated us with care and respect (for me, it was our vegetarian lunch in Times City). That humanistic touch is something that goes far beyond policies and frameworks and people will cherish it long after you've gone. Not only the academic and professional work did you instruct me, but also how you and Amita treat people around you. And I believe other people feel the same as me about both of you (proven).

What you have done are exceptional. Not mentioning great connections with top universities and leaders in the world for VinUni, I have never seen before a Provost treating lunch for a group of students while providing them with advice, or a Provost joining all sports competitions to support the school. You make us feel like we always have you, as you care and advise everyone (I'm impressed by your 1,000,000 GB memory!) . 

You and Amita are the inspiration for me to get back in the path. I am indefinitely grateful for this, and will try my best to continue on the road.

I wish you and your family (including Teddy, of course) all the best. Your new journey @USC will be wonderful for sure, as many more students and colleagues will have great opportunities to get to know you.
