How could one resent disappointment in love, if life itself was continuously in doubt? Since Belgorod, terror had overturned all my preconceptions, and the pace of life had been so intense one could no longer know what elements of ordinary life to abandon in order to maintain some semblance of balance. I was still unresigned to the idea of death, but I had already sworn to myself during moments of intense fear that I would exchange anything - fortune, love, even a limb- if I could simply survive."

2.

1) "Seven!" Daddy yells. Even though he's lying on the concrete, there's enough authority in his voice to make Seven shut up"
2) The way the father in The Hate U Give is portrayed makes me believe Ice Cube would play the great role. The dad in this book is described as "dark brown, buff, thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, heavy voice" In every movie Ice Cube plays in he usually is the tough one with the stern voice used to stop bad behavior, issues going on.
Brianna Martel

Jagger Bibler

1. "I know it's only been about two weeks since the last time you wrote me, but in here, two weeks seem like two years. Time means nothing cause contrary to popular belief things don't get better with time in here, but time means everything cause when it's finally over things will be better."
2. I would choose Corbin Bleu because he fits the physical descriptions used in the book to describe Antonio.

1) "Then there were mortars. General Garrison seemed to regard mortars as little more than an announce. He had walked around casually during the early mortar attacks, his cigar clenched in his teeth, amused by the way everyone dove to cover"(Bowden 206).

2) I would pick Brad Pitt to play General Garrison from Black Hawk Down, as he preformed a similar role in War Machine; a fearless General who wants to win at any cost.

Kyle Bengela

1) "No, Megan. It's my book. You and your children have done nothing but try to get me to stop. Well, I've got news for you. I will not stop. I know what a powerful machine the Store is. No one knows as much as I do. No one has looked at it so closely" (Patterson)
2) I would pick Anthony Rapp to play Jacob Brandies because he fits the characteristics and he played an investigative role before.

Kelsey Rathman

By: Elena Rodriguez

1)“As of this writing, I am twenty-five years old. I have been alive for 307 months. Nine of those months were pretty terrible. But 298 of those months have been very good. I have been happy. I have been very blessed. Who knows how many more months I have to live? But even if I died tomorrow, nine out of 307 seems like pretty good odds.”

2) I would chose Dakota Fanning to portray Elizabeth in a film. Fanning is popular and seen in a few suspenseful and serious movies. She would give a compelling and realistic performance.
