In the trailer 42, the director wants to mimic the civil rights event and the truth from both sides. The director wants you to realize what the people of this time era went through in their daily lives. The tone and mood of the trailer creates emotions of strong feeling toward the blacks. It extracts a sort of under dog story but incorporates the civil rights movement to build on more of a story line and significant value towards Jackie Robinson. In the trailer, the white men were not happy about Jackie joining the team, however he doesn't give in to the hate and pressure; he stays strong and fights for his rights. This symbolizes the blacks strength in the old society; how they lived with the laws, and how they broke out of them. Jackie Robinson's number is 42; the number 42 is now a symbol of pride and freedom thanks to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In a way, they are alike for their courageous movements for society and freedom acts against laws.

The tone and mood that the author of the movie wants you to feel while watching the trailer was frustration
and bleakness. Jackie Robinson represents all the blacks and how they fought for their rights and independence
and how they went through tough times, hatred and exclusion just to be treated as equals.
He wants you to get an understanding of what the blacks went through in this time era and how Jackie Robinson was one to fight for what he wanted to do, which was baseball.
Even though the white players didn't want him
playing and everyone purposely tried to hurt him physically and verbally day and night,
he kept playing and tried to make a change for himself, his family
and for all of the blacks through out all generations.

In the trailer a man was threatening Jackie by saying “what if the baseball hits you” and he says “I will duck” saying that he is strong and he is brave and he is ready for what is to come. The white men on the team did not want him to not be on the team but he kept trying and eventually they let him on and the coach was yelling and standing up for Jackie to the other players. Once Jackie got up to the plate he got hit in the eye/head maybe on purpose but he kept on trying and showing that he is not weak and he is not showing defeat. Towards the end a black child gets a baseball from him and you can see that he is inspired by him and probably thinks he is a hero.

In Martin Luther King Jr.'s '"I Have A Dream Speech", King uses strong voice and powerful word choice to give off an important vibe. Through his words he speaks for the blacks that couldn't have spoken, were too afraid, or scared to. The way he speaks shows the people that they are ready for a change; they are ready for a new change that will benefit the blacks, the whites, and the whole society. King's perspective on the situation is that all blacks and whites should be treated equally, much like the back round information in the trailer 42.

In the video there were mostly colored people but you could also see some white people. There were a lot of people there just supporting and also fighting and showing lots of emotion and power. The crowd shows that not all white people are selfish because in the crowd there were white people cheering and supporting them, fighting with them and respecting them. And you could tell that the speech King gave inspired all. Kings words gave the people hope, respect, and power to continue and fight on so that future generations can have a better life of acceptance and freedom.

Some people are forgetting about how important civil rights was and still how important civil rights was and still how important it is today. The author of the movie was trying to bring civil rights back and show everyone what they are forgetting. Jackie Robinson and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are alike because they both were brave enough to stand up and do what was right for them and for other people. Sometimes in life, we need to stand up for what is right. In life, we go through many things that can put the future in a better place.

King's speech is a big chapter in the civil rights movement. He was very strong with his words, his voice, his attitude, and his confidence. King clearly explains how the whites and the blacks are separated and how we need to be together to make one world and nation instead of two.
