What recipe did you choose? Why?

I chose my dad's chicken parm and pasta recipe. I chose this because it is a childhood favorite meal, and when it's made I still love it as much as I did when I was younger. It's rather simple but so delicious when made.

What is the purpose of the film? - please do not answer that it's for my class. Why are you excited about making it?

The purpose of my film is to portray my Italian heritage. I am excited about making it because this meal will not only do that, but I will also be able to make a food you have probably never seen because of the uniqueness it has to my family.

What are the three most important points this video should make?

I have pride in my Italian heritage.

I come from a background of people that love food and love to cook.

You can create any delicious food with any random combination of ingredients.

What do you want the audience to do and/or feel in the end?

I want them to feel pleased with how the food looks and interested to try and make food they have most likely never had.

What is the ONE thing, if they get nothing else, you want the audience to remember after watching your video?

How to make betalovas/make something out of the leftover pieces when preparing a meal.

Please find 1-3 visual examples (picture, text, video) that represent the style you are trying to achieve. Feel free to include them in their own Padlet box.

I want to achieve a very homey and authentic style of cooking.

What length would you like your film?

I would like my film to be 70-80 seconds long.

Do you have any concerns with the feasibility of pulling this off? Why or why not?

I have no concerns with pulling this off because I have seen my dad make this meal countless times, and I honestly cannot wait to try it myself.

This is actually a picture of betalovas I made 2 years ago. They may not look like an appetizing food but are still so simple and tasty. I also just learned that these may have family-specific names and not everyone calls them betalovas.
