He had two other siblings, William Henry Leonard Poe and Rosalie Mackenzie Poe. Their parents had both died within three years of Edgar's birth. He was then adopted by the Allan family and switched his name to Edgar Allan Poe.</div>]]></description>

When Poe returned to Richmond after dropping out from being humiliated by poverty, his Fiancee, Elmira Royster, got engaged to another man. When Poe was eighteen, he published his first book "Tamerlane" and accomplished the former; he also enrolled into the United States Army to achieve the latter.</div>]]></description>

Virginia was born in 1822, in Baltimore, Maryland. She had eight kids overall in her lifetime. She married Edgar in May of 1836. In 1842, Virginia developed tuberculosis. She passed away while playing piano in the families' cottage.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Poe was married to his cousin Virginia Eliza Clemm when he was 27 and she was 13. Poe was married on the day of the 16th in the year of 1836 in May. After they were married they were happy. Edgar Allan Poe had no children with his wife. 12 years after they were married virginia died and Edgar Allan poe spun into a deep depression and he couldn't get out of it. After his wife's death he supposedly vanished.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Edgar Allan Poe died on October 7th, 1849. The cause of death is unclear to this day. Joseph W. Walker was walking on a rainy day when he came across Poe dressed in shabby clothes, unaware and delirious, laying in a ditch. Poe five days later died in the hospital. People have been speculating on what happened to him since then.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Edgar enlisted into the U.S military in 1827. He did this under a fake name, Edgar A. Perry. While he was in the military Edgar Allan Poe had obtained the highest point in his spot in the military. One of the people in the  military said he could leave the military 3 years early. The only reason why they said that he could leave is if he made up with his dad. Poe's dad said that they would be Ok if Poe entered a school. Poe did but then he dropped out of the school.</div>]]></description>
