I hope this message finds you and your family well! As we begin this school year, I want to take a moment to share how much we value the partnership between home and school. Your involvement in the classroom makes a big difference in your child’s learning and helps create a supportive, engaging environment for all students.

There are many ways to be involved, whether you have a lot of time to give or just a little:

• Volunteering in the classroom (helping with small groups, reading with students, or assisting with activities). You must be BEST certified 

• Supporting from home (helping with projects, preparing materials, or checking in on your child’s progress). Not everyone wants to or can help at the school but wants to be involved there is always room for you also. 

• Participating/helping with special events (class celebrations, field trips, or events at the school). You must be BEST certified 

This year, we are doing homeroom parents a little differently. Please take a moment to fill out the attached Google form—even if you are not interested in being a homeroom parent. The form includes information about many different ways to be involved, and it will also allow the homeroom parent to have your contact information (unless you opt out) so they can keep you informed about plans and activities throughout the year. 

Please also note that indicating interest does not automatically make you a homeroom parent, if you are chosen you will receive an email once the window closes to fill out the Google form. We want to ensure that as many families as possible have opportunities to participate. 

Your presence and support—big or small—help show students that education is important and that we’re all working together to help them grow.

Homework: fill in reading log and work on letter Ee book, return on Monday. Then start on the letter Ff book.

Continue letter recognition, start with the letters in the name. Children love to learn the letters of their name and that is also what I start with in the classroom.

Counting - our goal is to be able to count to 20 by the end of the year but I always encourage my students to learn past 20 as it will help them as they continue through school.
