         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>RD 1 </strong>:Pronouns to Include the audience.<br><strong>Quote 1:</strong> The author wants to include the audience by saying, "We further strongly urge our own Negro community to withdraw support from these demonstrations, and to unite locally in working peacefully for a better Birmingham" ( April 12th, 1963, by Group of Clergymen).<br><strong>RD2:</strong> Analogy<br><strong>Quote 2:</strong> The authors want to seem like they are talking similarly to Martin Luther King Jr, and other African American citizens by saying,  "In Birmingham, recent public events have given indication that we all have opportunity for a new constructive and realistic approach to racial problems" (April 12th, 1963, by the Group of Clergy men).<br><strong>RD 3:</strong> Allusion<br><strong>Quote 3:</strong>  It references to the event of that, they have talked about racial problems before, when they said, "We the undersigned clergymen are among those who, in January, issued "An Appeal for Law and Order and Common Sense," in dealing with racial problems in Alabama" ( April 12th 1963 by the Group of Clergymen).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Ethos</strong>: The authors are attack Martin Luthers character by telling him, and others to withdraw from what they are doing. Lastly, they authors have bad character by telling him not to do what he believes in.<br><strong>Pathos:</strong> It appeals to the audience by talking about a  subject, that is current in their time period. Lastly, that is an unfair situation, and everyone feels different about it.<br><strong>Logos:</strong> It appeals to civil right events that happened in history. Lastly, that it backs up reasoning on the events that happened in this time period.</div>]]></description>

They want Martin Luther to withdraw with what he, and others are doing for their rights.  Lastly, that they wanted everyone to unite together to talk about it.<br><strong>Occasion: </strong>In the year of 1963 the church wanted to unite with Martin Luther King, and others, to talk about civil rights.<br><strong>Audience:</strong> This letter is mostly to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, but also to black citizens.<br><strong>Purpose: </strong>The authors are writing to Martin Luther, to reason with him about the situation. Also they want Martin Luther to understand how they feel about the situation. Lastly, their purpose is to also, have everyone see that they want them to unite.<br><strong>Subject:</strong> To unite everyone, to talk about the civil rights situation.
