As she grew into a young girl it became very difficult for her to communicate with her family. She couldn't come home and tell her mom about her day or what she learned at school. When she was able to communicate it was the bare minimum. As an adult Spanish is almost like an estranged relative for her. It is something she knows but is very distant. It is always embracing and loving.
