Ridiculousness uses sound effects and other different effects to lighten the mood of the clip being played. These clips are approved before used, as told by the disclaimer in the beginning. The ones that are used are put into little categories and are made to be pretty funny and not so unfortunate by the use of sound effects, captions, and music.
