         <description><![CDATA[<div>Problem solving is a vital life skills that is used in most if not all walks of life, it involves being able to look at a problem and judge what action needs to be taken. <br><br>Outdoor activities develop problem solving skills though practical application of skills and knowledge  in a new and challenging environment. by placing people in challenging yet controlled circumstances, gives them the insensitive to think outside the box and work with others to over come their challenge.<br><br>This sort of skill can help to improve employability jobs as it is vital in many jobs from general management and marketing to astrophysics, they all need their employees to be able to think outside the box and tackle the problems that are posed on a daily basis.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Empowerment is a term that refers to one independence, self-determination and confidence, it is these traits are needed in any sort of leadership role.<br><br>Outdoor activities assist to empower clients in a number of ways, by challenging them in a new environment it grows their self confidence and in some cases shed light on skills they would have other wise not have known they had. the adventurous nature of many of the activities pushes comfort zones and develops skills this in turn gives them a better understanding of themselves and develops self-confidence.<br><br>The autonomy that outdoor activities promote gives clients self confidence and self-determination needed to succeed in many careers. These traits are not only highly desired in a lot of jobs but they are vital life skills that will prevent indecision and improve self-worth. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Environmental awareness, means being aware of the effect you and others are having on the world and the creatures in it.<br><br>Outdoor activities develop environmental awareness by putting people in the environment and letting them see first hand any effects we have had on the environment the activity is being performed in. Activities get people out into the world and can give them a true appreciation for its wonder and beauty, which can inspire them to do something to give back to this world.<br><br>Thought being outside in these environment many clients gain a genuine love for the world and the creatures in it, along growing a feeling of connection with to their environment.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As the title would suggest the learning of ether physical or mental skills, though in this case outdoor pursuits.<br><br>Outdoor activities and outdoor learning are an effective way of learning certain skills, besides that outdoor activities have been proven to boost memory, making learning easier and faster. Some people have a hard time learning with conventional methods, for this reason alternative learning curriculum's have come out, these tailor around activities being a prime way to learn skills that the client was finding hard to under stand in a class room, this is done thought practical application and experiential learning. some activities also teach the skills needed to perform the given activity eg climbing teaching climbing techniques.<br><br>This sort of learning can help to give the client qualifications they would have otherwise have fail or struggled to get though conventional means, it can also help those who are feeling as if they are failing just because they aren't as good at academic studies as the rest, this helps to develop confidence and regain motivation.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A term that is refers to ones trust in their own ability and it is often used these days to refer to a form of social confidence wrought from the trust in ones ability.<br><br>Outdoor activities promote self-confidence in a mixture of ways though pushing them physically it helps to show them what they can achieve and though that they learn to rely on their skills, they will reach the limits of them and then learn how to push them.  <br><br>Self-confidence will help with almost any form of nerve racking activity one has to perform, for example interviewers often see any amount self confidence, short of bravado, as a employable trait. also those who have self confidence are often happier than those who lack it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A simply put any form of working as part of a group or team with the aim to achieve a goal or solve a problem. it is also used to describe how well someone works with, solves disputes with and accommodates for the other members of a team or group.<br><br>Outdoor activities are commonly performed in groups or teams of some form, for example climbing, every climber needs a belayer and in some cases a back up belayer. The activities help to strength trust and improve communication skills though practical application and encouragement.<br><br>Team work although not needed in all walks of life it is needed in many, if one ever plans on working a job that involves working along side the others in the department, office or any other people, then being able to work in a team is vital.</div>]]></description>

In some cases to be able to sympathise or empathise with the individual and their emotions.<br><br>Though interactions with others while under a stressful or tense environment, people are able to see how others act when stressed, under pressure and more importantly though observing instructors how to help others over come this stress. The physical activities particularly ones with an emphasis on thrill have a result of getting people to trust the others around them this lets people grow and bound with each other.<br><br>This is a great set of skills particularly if you ever work in a management role where you need to get a group working well together. These skills also help when solving conflicts, knowing how people behave under stress and how to help them over come it will help almost anyone.</div>]]></description>
