From R and S the matter is freezing to a solid and the particles are getting slower while the arrangement is more in a more orderly manner.</div>]]></description>

The particles will slow down as the kinetic energy of the particles is converted to thermal energy, which transferred to the surrounding.<br>From Q to R, the particles lose energy to the surrounding and the temperature is at the freezing point. The particles with less energy are drawn closer together by the force of attraction between them. The particles arrangement become more orderly.&nbsp;<br>From R to S, after all the liquid has solidified at point R, kinetic energy of the particles is again to thermal energy and transferred to the surrounding. Particles can vibrate and rotate only about their fixed position.</div>]]></description>
