I like this book because it's about a little girl named Opal who has no friends until she saves a dog name Winne Dixie. Through out the book Opal struggles with missing her mother who has left her and her father the preacher. She goes on a journey where she develops new relationships and is able to finally come to terms with not having her mother in her life. This book is a must read because it teaches you about life lessons and you will be able to find out how exactly Opal accepts her circumstances.
