Solon Phillips has long maintained a commitment to helping to better the lives of people in his Maryland community and beyond. A passionate lawyer licensed to practice law in multiple states, Solon strives to secure justice for individuals from underprivileged backgrounds. Solon Phillips’ professional focus also includes helping Americans age with dignity in his capacity as a research specialist with the National Council on Aging, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of older adults.

Outside of his career, Solon Phillips takes time to give back to his community through his work as a volunteer. A Biblical scholar and educator, he teaches the Bible at several churches and at a Maryland prison as well as provides instruction to other audiences on spiritual and moral principles. In recognition of his volunteerism, which also includes several years as a youth basketball coach, Mr. Phillips earned the Outstanding Service Award in Washington, D.C., in 2016.

Beyond his professional and volunteer efforts, Solon Phillips is an active philanthropist who has donated thousands of dollars to those less fortunate. He also stands out as the driving force behind the Abandoned Spouse Emergency Fund and the founder of Growing Kings, a Washington, D.C. organization committed to shaping young men into responsible fathers and husbands.
