At first you start with making a rough sketch. In the second you can see that there's made an outerline plus the coloring and in the final one you can see that shadows and lighting are added to the drawing.

But i'm gonna talk about digital drawing. at first, you need a program to draw on and a mouse, trackpad or drawing tablet (i highly recommend to take a drawing tablet with pressure sensivity). Me personally prefer to use adobe photoshop, but you can ofcourse use other programs that work better for you. At the start the pencil tool will be beter for the rough sketch. Then afterwards you can change the background color to a slightly grey-ish color so you can work with white too if you want.
