Retinal Disparity

Hold a pen in front of your nose.

Close your left eye and then switch to your right. The pen will move.

Move the pen further away and switch between your left and right eye. You will notice the pen moves less. This is because we get two different images from each eye and our brain creates one image. This creates depth in our vision.
