1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.2. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pans.3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost with "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" CHOCOLATE FROSTING. Makes 12 servings.


"PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" CHOCOLATE FROSTING

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine2/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa3 cups powdered sugar1/3 cup milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency.Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. When I got in to the HE program, I knew that I would be much older than most of the students (I got in 2016, I'm batch 2011). So, I thought to myself that I would probably have a difficult time relating to people, which is something not new to me because I have an INFJ personality (Ang dami kong side-kwento diba?). So, my plan when school started was (1) to do well in my academics, and (2) to graduate. I had no motivation to interact with other people and make new friends, to say the least because I was insecure and lonely. I thought to myself that I could live my life with my old friends. But I met some of you in HE 101, and many of you in CTRA 21. At first, I was just a spectator - a mere wallflower. I observed and figured which people belong to a clique. I watched how each of you relate to one another. I admired all of you for your talents, skills and little quirks from afar. Not long after, I found myself joining in and connecting with you.

I've always been very emotional which is kind of embarrassing at times, but reading your messages had me gone into a different level of emo. I laughed. HARD. I cried. HARD. I realized that college would be so different if I didn't meet everyone of you. I'm so grateful for having met a cool and lovely and funny bunch of people who appreciate me, and love me for my kaartehan and ka-bitchesa-han. I truly am thankful for each and everyone of you.

This semester is pretty strange for me because I don't see you all as often (but I have Liza who is an angel) and to be honest, I got really really sad and I felt less motivated to go to my classes. It's like I have fallen into this pit of loneliness and I'm struggling :( I'm sorry if I had not been the most fun person for the past weeks, but I am working on myself and in no time, I'll be a much funner person to be around with. :)

I want to thank everyone for all the love and joy you have given me in my special day! But most importantly, thank you for coming into my life. I love each and everyone of you! <3 With all my heart!
