"If we invade his territory, then why indeed should we be surprised when he invades ours?"
Explanation: This isn't just between Delaney and the coyote. It's a deeper meaning between Mexicans and Americans. We've invaded their land plenty before, so why wouldn't they invade ours?
Interpretive question: How close does Delaney live to a natural environment for the coyotes to live in?

"What he really wanted, and he'd been after Kyra about it for the past year at least, was for her to have a baby, but she wouldn't hear of it - there was always another house to sell, another listing, another deal to close. Yes. Sure. And here he was, on his own."
My POV: I personally feel bad for Delaney here, because I've seen what the pain of divorce and lonliness can do to a person. All he wants is a kid with the person he thought he loved, and now he's finding himself in a place where he can see another relationship become the past, and his loneliness a future.
Interpretive question: If Kyra and Delaney were to divorce, would Jordan even care?

That's what filthy, jobless, lowlife, homeless people do. Not her. Even though that's exactly what she was now.
Interpretive question: What restaurant were they at?
