         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>An adaptation is a mutation, or genetic change, that helps an organism, such as a plant or animal, survive in its environment. A penguin is an example of animal adaptation because of its wings and flippers it helps them swim underwater at a speed of 15 mph in Antarctica. Penguins also have to keep their body temperature high to remain active. It also has thick skins and a lot of fat under their skin to keep warm in cold temperature.</em></strong></div>]]></description>

Conifers are of major importance as the source of softwood, and also supply resins and turpentine. The tree in my picture would be consider a conifers because it has scale like leaves. It is also a Pine Tree which is a type of conifer. Some examples, of others types of conifers would be Balsam Fir, Red Pine, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, White Pine, or Scotch Pine.</em></strong></div>]]></description>

These adaptations might make it very difficult for the plant to survive in a different place. For example, the plant in this picture is a Cactus which has adapt to an environment where rain is rare and temperature are always high. Some of its special features are that it has widespread root system that can allow them to collect water. Also the Cactus's spine is thick and fleshy allowing it to store a lot of water.</em></strong></div>]]></description>

They are sorted into three groups: producers or autotrophs, consumers or heterotrophs, and decomposers or detritivores. In this picture the group that is showed is producers because of the bushes/plants. An autotrophs is an autotrophic organism capable of producing complex organic compounds from simple inorganic molecules through the process of photosynthesis (using light energy) or through chemosynthesis (using chemical energy). Also the transportation to remove the waste has a major impact on the environment. Decomposition can  happen in leaves because earthworms or other animals break the leaves into smaller parts.
