Death is thought by Mexicans by not actually dying. Their not "dying", meaning its not the end. You can still see your family grow and develop along the years, but it is one step closer to death when people forget you. To stay in the land of the dead, your family must remember you by putting a picture of you on an offrenda, which can be found in most Mexican homes.

In Coco it explains that if someone isn't remebered by having the picture put on the offrenda, you can't cross the bridge to see your family. The smell of the marigolds guide them to their house.

Death is perceived by the Mexican people by the afterlife. Every year on the Day Of the Dead the Mexican People put out pictures of their dead relatives so they can cross the ¨magic bridge¨ to take the gifts their family's leave for them. The Mexicans do not see death the same ways as Americans and many other religions.. They celebrate their death instead of crying about it like little BABYS ;( . The Sad part about the death of Mexicans is when they get forgotten by their family and their are permanently gone from the Spirit world and the real world.
