I would think that the king was a great warlord, and later realized he was so brutal he had to restrict himself, cutting out his life from war and battle. To release stress from not living his chaotic and barbaric side, he decided to make only a semi-barbaric justice system, for him to watch the outcome of suspected criminals. And he protects his family because he lost his wife in one of his great battles, and won't lose another member of his family.

If that was added into the story, I believe that it would make the story more descriptive and make it easier to understand.

My idea of the untold story would be the background of the man that had to choose between the 2 doors. I think that the reason the man has to choose between the doors is because he robbed a bank. he robbed the bank because him and the lady were getting married but the man didn't have enough money to pay for the wedding. So he stole from the bank but got caught. - Evey Pezzutti

I want to know the backstory of the king. I think that he actually grew up with very good parents, but then his father, the current king, had a dark secret. When the current king was 6, his father had told him that he was no longer the king and that someone had taken over, and tried to kill him. However, the king was lying and was actually just very sick and died later. this devastated the current king, and this is why he is the bad king he is today.

Buying everything he wants and even telling people what to do. The moment his father had died he didn't feel any emotions due to him becoming the new king. Eventually he misses and is mad he took his dad for granted and releases that anger towards other people

I believe that the opinion of the man is quite interesting, due to the fact that he was given a fateful choice. He could decide what lay ahead, or he could listen to the choice of the princess. The princess, having taken it upon herself to know what lay behind each door, made a choice that, was most likely, beneficial for her. The man could decide his own demise, or leave his life in the hands of the princess.

I would say that an untold story in this narrative would be the king's perspective and backstory. The king may have had a bad eventful upbringing, and the rage of that and what the prince did built up. Therefore, he continued with the method of the fate between the lady or the tiger. Therefore he must have been rooting for the tiger to be chosen, since we were told how barbaric of a man he was in the beginning of the story.

The king must have not only been raised by a harsh family/father, he must value justice and fairness in order to create the amphitheater of which men chose one of two doors. He probably had experiences with criminals as a young prince and young adult, and most likely decided he wanted a more "fair" way of deciding their fate. I think the princess ran into this as well, raised by her father, and became semi-barbaric herself. I think that the man she has her eye on is a commoner from a semi-poor family. She probably was taking a walk through town and laid eyes upon him - struck by love and wanting to get to know him. However, they were most likely caught by the king, and the man was sentenced for being with the princess.
