DM is all about how the mind works, it tests your logical reasoning.
Doctors need to make important decisions every day- both life and death!
WE ALREADY KNOW THE QUESTION TYPES! The trick is how far we need to apply the logics
DM combined both VR and QR skills.
The section contains questions that will have 4 answer options or 5 Yes or No statements. Drag and Drop

you have enough time to grasp the question! here is a step by step:
1. interpret the stimulus
2. assess the answer options/ statements

It tests how thorough and how logical a mind works. Thorough objective and logical. All of the question types are already there the trick is how many steps you need to take and how much logic you need to answer the questions. 

7 types, each question will fall into any of these types. Each question take max 1 min and a bit

The yes/no questions, appear generally at the start but can appear anywhere too. Doing some questions a bit longer and some questions a bit shorter. 

4 answer MCQs. Make up 2/3. Logical reasoning. Some questions might take less than 30 seconds. 

The stimulus first approach, 
1- interpret the stimulus, can give u a big hint which can help you answer the question big time, helps you become much more efficient in answering the question. The stimulus is the information passage. 
2- the diff options, knowing that allows you to eliminate the options that are incorrect. Can make an educated guess 
3- answer the question 
No preconceived ideas.

Syllogisms:
Interconnected series. 
You need to tackle them really well to get a good score. Make up 9/29 questions, each 2 marks. 75 secs per question. 

Make sure you are clear on what the stimulus is saying. UNDERSTAND IT. Assume everything they’re saying is true. 

You only need to use the info they give u. 

Positive and negative perspectives. They are very slightly different. Always assume the minimum overlap. So the minimum needed to fulfill the overlap. 



Mathematical reasoning:

Probability and stats. Comparing statistics and probabilities. 

-Convert the fractions into percentages. Use calculator to convert denominator to 100. Or just do numerator divided by denominator.
- pay attention to liked and disliked, pay attention to the comparison. 
Very particular on the answers. It’s all black and white, no grey.

Write down key numbers and key info on the whiteboard, don’t rely on your short term memory. 

Pitfalls: answers that appear correct but irrelevant, extremes. Double check them. Answers that sound intellectual. 

Evaluating arguments:
Simplest type of question. Select the statement that solves the issue. The problem that is talked about in the stimulus. 
Number 2 is a bit more difficult. 

1- read and interpret the stimulus first. 
2- assess the statements. Look at how much evidence backs it up. 
3- use the process of elimination, the first statement to consider should be the longest one, because they have the most infor, can rule it out easily or it is the right answer., whether it starts with yes or no it doesn’t matter, for a no to be strong need to offer an alternative solitionsZb

Logical puzzles: 
Involves rules. Use the whiteboard to free your short term memory. Have to distinguish between rules that are definitely true and rules that can be true. Has to be 100%. Use initials for the names on the whiteboard. 

Problem solving:
Generally scenario based. Require u to manipulate info or data to find a single solution. Use the table method. And use process of elimination. You don’t have to solve the whole puzzle. Eliminate as you go through the puzzle. 
Pitfalls: 
Not considering data around the graph, titles, axes, dates, units 
Not interpreting all the data 
Be aware of qualifies
