I Like It by BTS

The humble beginnings of BTS began in 2013 with their first album "2 Cool 4 Skool". This was when I was slowly delving into the realm of K-Pop. When I first listened to this album and specifically heard this song, I knew I'd stay and to this day I always go back and listen to the BTS songs I consider classics. This song will forever be my favorite song despite all the other billboard hit songs and searching through their 2013~2016 albums will always give me a sense of nostalgia.

Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer by ONE OK ROCK

I was first introduced to this song by a family member who was interested in exploring music. After a long time, I decided to give it a go and really enjoyed it questioned why it took me so forever to actually give this song a chance. This song was what also brought me into J-Rock; as I had been listening mundanely to American pop songs. ONE OK ROCK is probably the most famous rock band in Japan and is also my favorite as well. They've also collaborated with other famous rockers such as Five Seconds of Summer and Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low.

In conjunction with ONE OK ROCK, I realized my love for rock. I ventured deeper into the music genre and found heavy metal. I've always known about the prejudice against this sub-genre and the people who love this type of music are considered bad, but despite the stigma of listening to heavy metal and hardcore rock, my experience is that these people are passionate and don't deserve being put under a category of "crazy". It's only a matter of different tastes and one that is especially outside of the norms.

Listening to this song always gives me good vibes. The lyrics are portrayed in a chill and laid back way, describing how its always a good day to relax and find some time to yourself. The slow and reggae beat has a sense of relief for me. Most of the songs made by this musical group are always Zen and whenever I need to sit back and enjoy the day, I have this song in my playlist.

This song is about a girl who doesn't need a cheater in her life. Though I have not experienced this, I understand her lyrics and are conveyed very well when in an interview, she is asked what inspired this song to which she said, ""I want my precious Angels to know that it’s okay to know your worth and to cut off people that lie and betray you. I want this song to be crucial advice for women dealing with fuckboys: “cut him off. Seriously. Like, right now.”" I love to show this song to my friends who are having a hard time, if they know the lyrics are not because you can tell what she wants to say.
