I think I would have to weigh out the pros and cons before I make a decision. It's easy for me to get sidetracked and losing the motivation to continue pursuing higher education would be detrimental. For now, I don't plan on taking a gap year.

I have mixed feelings about a gap year. If I do take one, I feel like my family would disown me. However, I also feel like colleges would want to know why I took that gap year.
