This is my Padlet for my final review projects that I've created this semester. I will also be going in depth on the strengths and weakness I encountered through the course of the year and how I managed to overcome them as best I could.

I've just begun my first project for end of this semester and, I'm having some mixed feelings on this piece and my courant idea's I've been spooning up for the end of this semester. Anyway, for this piece I thought it would be a good idea to test my understanding of first person perspective, as well introduce a medium I've had very little familiarity with . What I want to bring into this piece is a sense of loneliness and at the same time have that depth pull the observer in. So with this piece I decided to try charcoal. As I said I've never had the best luck with charcoal as a medium, it can get a little messy and quite unpredictable at times. But I tried to apply it on the top and bottom corners of the drawing and put heavy emphasis into them to fit in with the lighting. I'll try to continue to do my best, although I can't guaranteed anything at this point, especially with so little time remaining. But I "WILL" perceive as best I can

This is my second installment in my final projects, and to be a little onset, I feel I don't know what exactly what I want to do with this piece so I'm kind of flowing with the wind here, so bear with me. How've, I did have a idea I suppose for were I wanted to take this at least. So to start off, I went in with an H2 pencil which is they lightest pencil anyone can get their hands on, I just happened to have one with my pencil set. After which I thought I go in with a sharpie pen and ad and provide the shades or glasses with some form. And after that, I so-pose I use a medium I'm more familiar with which is water color and kick it off from there. I can't be one hundred precent shore of this idea know as I normally on occasion am not shore of something until I get into it.

So I've just finished adding the water color including sharpie to the piece and I find it interesting but I don't think everyone my agree on the same matter. First off, before I started applying the water color I tough it would be a good time to add the sharpie pen on top of the exciting pencil out line before I got down to business. I found it would be interesting to add water marks leaking down the shades of the glasses to provide a little more extra though, but what that though was exactly I don't known, it sort of don't know. It just came out of the blue. I'll continue to add what I can but I'm really running sort on time and I have very little personal though on this piece.

I've finally neared they end of this project and I half to say, this isn't my strongest project, but its decent non the less. I though it would be interesting to add noses to each set of shades but, I believe others might think this is not the best piece of work to appear on a piece of paper. Although I don't believe this is my best piece of work myself, but its better than nothing, I'm just disappointed that this came out as simplistic as it was, but I've done better over the course of my life, but that's just me. Anyway, I created the noses going in with an H2 pencil to create an outline to draw over using a sharpie pen. I'll leave this as a quick simple said and down type of project, I don't know. Leave some suggestions in case you guys have any ideas, your guess are better then mine.

Although my favorite part of this piece was the use of water colors and how I chose to implement them into the shades. How've, as I said before this project is more or less room to improve, but I'll see what I can hopefully learn from this, and I hope its a lot.

This is one of my pieces that I created for the growth theme show, and when I first started I was not shore as to what I was going to do. Although as time went on I was studying in theoretical Physics and an idea struck me. So I chose to draw an example of universal growth and expansion through the form of black holes, as you can see I was already half way through this project, but I consider it to be one of my better ones to have come clean for my own imagination. I first began by applying dark water color to and then creating a darker area that would serve as a black hole, as well my follicle point. After, allowing it to dry over night, I began by applying blue and red around the surface of the black hole to inmate gravitational lensing, including gas clouds in space.

So far I've been experiencing great success in this project, I quite impressed with my own creativity. I decided to blend some light red along with earth colored brown to recreate the effects black holes have one gas cloud formation, I also found it to be a good idea to paint the cloud in a spinning formation as well have it branch out across the piece rather then have it affixed to one single location, just to take some advantage of the negative space behind the black hole.

This was the final product of my growth project, and I've got to admit, its definitely one of my finer pieces of work. As you can see I expanded the area of the gas cloud more outward to the right although this time I went lighter with the pink, red, brown water color, and decided to expand it towards the bottom of the piece but at the same time kept gentle with light strokes with my brush. When I was finished I though it looked great but I felt there was still something missing. So after observing it for a while, I found it to be cool to add small specks of water color to replicate particles, I used blue, green, yellow, and even small dots of red around just to show more of the expansion. As well, I went in with some white color pencil to add some depth to the sphere of the black hole and also show the affects gravity has on light.

This is a recap of three of my own personal past works. I created these three works using sharpie (black, red, blue). I first began by starting my out line which was down with H2 pencil because of how light it is . Second, I began by darling area's with the sharpie while at the same time leaving open areas of negative space, I also used the red sharpie as my focal point or they focal point to help draw in the viewer. Finally, I finished it by adding flags in order to represent the country including adding last touches around the straps of the head harness. One difficulty I might have faced was trying to make each mask as identical to its original counter part and trying to get the shades of the black shadowing properly done. I though I might base these individual pieces off the darker side of world wide conflict, and have these pieces reflect heavily on the darkness war unleashes on us as humans. But the more interesting thing I wanted to do was make the viewer thing, and thing hard on the idea of what will you become and what you see deep in yourself and what will you allow anarchy manipulate you. So take you time, and look deep and hard?

This was one of my still observations I had made while at the gardens. We were provided with an hour to create a quick visual study of anything within the gardens. So, after wandering around for a while I found a bench and started to take notice of a wooden structure with vegetation growing upon at, and quickly began to sketch using a sharpie pen. I tried to take as much deep observation as I could possibly of the four ground and my high ground, examples of my high ground being the wooden pillar in front of me was well the leaves, and an example of my four ground being the other wooden pillar as well the bushes and half tree within the background. I think it was a good quick study especially that I was able to put great detail into the surface of the wood including the leaves. One disappointment had to have been that I was not able to add enough detail into my background with the very little time I was running on.

This was is a study of my second created piece from the trip. For this piece I though I'd go in using a different medium rather then sharpie, I figured I use some oil pastel this time, just to give this work a little more life and allow it breath more then my prevues piece that was very black and white. I started by creating the stem with green oil pastel and spreading across the paper ascending in from the top right corner and working my way down. After that I added some light blue pastel into the leaves to darken them were needed as well the stems. And finally, I used some red and orange combined with yellow to get the right color for the berries. After wards, I added a small touch of white onto the berries to show the direction of the light. And then below that some flows that I observed in the foreground. I've got to admit that I found a lot of good inspiration in this piece although, I would have enjoyed to have made more great use of the negative space.

This was my final work I'd created toward the end of the trip. I decided for this piece I start by capturing the shape and form of the stem, I went in using green oil pastel as well suggested by my teacher that I incorporate some dark blacks into the stem as well into the leaves of the plant. after that she also suggested I add some more of the plants into the background, but this time use a different color to help my background stand out from my foreground. As well, I was finally able to provide my back ground with some personality and give it the warm feeling I believe it needed. I went in using some orange, red, blue, as well white oil pastel to create my background. After I had applied my colors I next began to spread and mix them together using a rubber blending tool. I felt it would be best to start out from the leaves branching out ward toward the open space and then blending the different colors together to make one hole thing.

I'd half to say that this was the one assignment this hole year that gave me the huge run for my money because, this was pushing me over the edge to test my skills. One thing I enjoyed about this project was that sometimes you just got to flow with it. As Bob Ross said "there are no mistakes just happy accidents", and I believe I had a some happy accidents along the way working on these individual pieces. And in they end it resulted in some positives and some negatives. Including I do take a great fascination in plant live so I feel everything worked out for the best.

Flow the pattern 12/20/16

I've just begun to start my final project for the semester and, Ive got a really excellent idea to put an end to it all. In the past I've had a great deal of experience with zentangle art work and I though it would be a great idea to implement this into my final work. I've also just always had a great obsession with patterns and how the connect and relate and how their supposed to have some sort of symbolistic meaning, can't say that this will have some sort of symbolistic representation but I'll try to make something of this, I'm confident I will. But for the basics I began out lines with an H2 pencil to begin the shape and design of the pattern.

This is just a quick update so far on this piece, and I've got to say, I real was not expecting this to go this far. But that again, the unexpected has a great way of showing its self. I decided to expand upon the bottom right potion of the pattern by adding some detail including an animal head consisting to that of a white tailed doe, as some antlers to take advantage of the surrounding negative space. I also decided to use some different colors to add some variety to the piece, this mostly consisted of orange, red, light and dark pink followed by some purple, and I half to say this is pretty good progress so far.

I've now finished the putting in the final touches into the pattern. I decided to rape this project up by more detail to the left portion of the piece as well sketching to even it out. I did this by adding another antler as well another doe head both of a different color to differentiate from the other side, also I added some detail to the cycles just to flush them out a bit more then originally. So far past that, I'm not completely shore if anything else needs to be down because what else really is their to do with the pattern now. But I'm always open to suggestions so feel free to leave a comment.

Over all, This has been a good lifting experience. When I first began this I had very little idea as to what this would become a huge mind changing experience, but things happen unexpectedly don't they. My only problem with this was I'm still learning how to create and understand the style of zentangle art, so I've got a long way to go. Although I think this is a great first step in the right direction. I will continue to update and add to this page while over break so make sure to keep a lookout for that.
