Patrick Lencioni

In his book, The Five Dysfucntions of a Team, Lencioni writes: "The foundation [of a great team] must be built with these five ideals layering upon each other: demonstrating trust, engaging in conflict, commit to group decisions, hold peer accountable, and focus on team results" (Lencioni, 2006). I believe this philosophy to be in line with transformational leadership, with the culminating and most important focus on the long-term results and goals of the team.

Lencioni, P.
