Problem solving with students is everyone's professional responsibility. Many times I feel that parts of the team direct any issues to the special education instructor and refuse to take on what they could help with. Best solutions are developed when input is given in all directions from all involved.

Educators will always come into a group setting with comparisons to other students they have had in the past. As an educator, we need to put our personal bias aside and look at the problem with fresh eyes and an outlook that all individuals are different and will respond in a unique way. This is the also true when looking at diversity of students. Culture and environment need to be considered so that all avenues of a student's personality are taken into consideration.
