  • Toggle Microphone: Ctrl + D 

  • Toggle Camera instantly: Ctrl + E

  • Screen Sharing: Use Ctrl + Alt + S to start sharing your screen, allowing you to show a specific tab, window, or your entire screen.

  • Subtitles:Turn on live captions for better accessibility using Ctrl + Alt + C.

Before you close the meet, go back and verify that you have everyone who was present. This encourages them to be on time (so they don't have to write in the chat) and if they are late, they have to take the time to write in the chat and you can focus on teaching.

  • "If you have the assignment open and are ready, give me a thumbs up."

  • "Give me a thumbs up or down to show whether you agree with the author/story or not"

  • "If you are ready to move on, give me an applause."

This is a way to do a quick check in of who is actively participating and that they are understanding.
