negis mom calls her jibara but at first she doesn't like the name negi thought it meant "poor and uneducated"but negis mom explains that jibara are hardworking people who believe and take care of there culture.

negi knows her mom and dad not really get along that often her dad usually starts the arguments and she starts to think if she really is needed in the family or in the world

I think chapter 1 is really good so far and I can relate with negi to how she picks up small things that happens in her family it reminds me of how sometimes you can just tell when a vide has changed in your house or in your family. the part when jibara was really interested because it showed how words can mean something different it just depends on how you look at it.
