                  Last week TED Rönesans' social media expert presented us to how she uses social media to reach a wider audience. We asked her 5 questions. She answers them during the presentation.

I am using social media because it's very useful. Nowadays if you have social media account it means that you are alive. That's why I am using social media.

  1. Why does TED Rönesans uses social media?
     ANSWER: TED Rönesans uses social media because it is important to have social media account this years. If TED Rönesans did not have social media accounts then nobody will know about school. TED Rönesans gets more students using social media channels.
       

      2. What are the benefits of building an online community?
    
      ANSWER: The benefits of building an online community is to people know that we use to get more views and more followers. Benefits of building an online community is to share information faster and news faster.

      
      3. What are the dangers and risks of using social media?

      ANSWER: Social media hackers can hack your social media account and posts wrong information about you.

     
      4. What are the ways of monitoring social media engagement?

      ANSWER: There is a site named "BOOM SONAR", it can show everything about posts of your company, school... etc. TED Rönesans Koleji has over 10.000 followers on Facebook, 70 subscribers on YouTube and our school has over 1,100 followers on Instagram.


     5. Why a business should be aware when they are mentioned in social media?

     ANSWER: A business should be aware when they are mentioned in social media because if they have a bad review followers trust them. The business have to fix it or everybody will trust the bad review. You have to make your followers happy.


       
        TED Rönesans uses social media to get more attention. Benefits of building an online community is important. It is to share information faster. There is a danger of using social media. Other people can hack your account and post wrong information about you. There is a way of monitoring social media engagement it is a site named "BOOM SONAR". A business should be aware when they are mentioned in social media because if your followers find something wrong in social media and if they trust this information it will be bad.

  • Which Social Media channel do you usually use?
    • Answer: I mainly use Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
         2. When somebody sends you a bad or offensive message on social media what do you do?

    Answer: I ignore their  messages and block the users.
        
         3. What brands or companies do you follow online? Do you know what datamining is? Do you share your data with the companies you follow?

    Answer:I follow some big law firms, NASA, NATGEO etc. Yes, I do. No, I prefer not to share such info with companies I follow.

         4. What do you think 'social media ethics' means? Do you send your messages in an ethical way?

    Answer: I think It means to share information and communicate people with respect. Yes, I do.
        
          5. What do you do when you want to report something or someone on social media?

    Answer: I click on spam button.

          6. How do you keep your Social Media account safe?

    Answer: I check privacy settings and change my password from time to time.




    I want to be a photographer. That's my plans. I am going to use social media a lot to share photos that I take. They will be Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.  I will change my password time to time for safety. I will not follow any other accounts because it will be my photographer account.  My photographer account will not be a private account. It will be a public account.
