The usage of diction in the word "bent" implies a negative connotation, alluding to his disfigured and warped state of mind. Macbeth is no longer thinking straight, rather his intentions have become 'bent', deviating further from moral code. Repetition of the phrase "the worst" is also utilized for emphasis on his malicious intent.

Summary:

Macbeth as just revealed his state of mind to the lords and they have become suspicious of him. His further actions/plan must be carried out before they "scann'd" his thoughts.

These lines show that Macbeth is fully aware about the immorality of his actions but expects that he will become adjusted to his guilt after time passes. Macbeth has developed from a loyal solider who was not comfortable with the idea of regicide, into a murderer who has accepted his damnation.
