This helps the reader SEE what the characters look like. The narrator is directly describing their greasy hair to offer a visual to the reader about how the characters look.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>“I ought to he’s my brother”, I couldn’t honestly say “yes”&nbsp; I knew darry as well as he knew me, and that isn’t saying a whole lot”(115). this is an example of indirect characterization because it’s telling the reader about how ponyboy knows darry as much as darry knows him and we know from earlier in the text that they don’t have a great relationship with each other and never open up to each other. The paragraph let’s us know that they don’t really know much about each other and that he feels like they should know each other better. </div>]]></description>
