They are pretty similar with how he was crashing against the rocks. The waves got him off gaurd. But he got saved by the girl in the water and in the novel the cyclops asks the gods to make it hard to get home and it doesn't get mentioned in the original text when Zeus light bolt hit the ship.

In the original text it talks about a lot of different people Odysseus killed unlike in the graphic novel where it shows more of what it looked like. It says in the original text "Demopptolemus, Teleachus Euryades, Eumaesus Elatus, while the stockman killed Pisander" (Homer 273). In the graphic novel it shows what he looked like and talks about the people he saved. They are the same by saying what Odysseus did. They both say the same weapons he uses a bow and spears. They also explain it kind of the same on what there plan was.

Pretty much the same reaction but Odysseus in the novel didn't fall and weep instead he hugs her and they go to sleep and in the original they never did. In the graphic novel it shows much more love where the original shows quicker revenge.
