Non-white people were forced to move for white people on transportation and move to lesser classes. They also had to deal with constant discrimination. Laws were passed forcing them to carry ID cards and specific rules were made about religious emblems. He eventually couldn't take the constant discrimination and unfair laws, so he burned his card in front of the police. If this didn't happen then people in South Africa would still be getting discriminated. They would never be equal and they would eventually be unable to follow their own religion. Thus causing religious inequality. I wanted to learn more about him because I hear his name a lot.
