This page is significant to the story because of the fact that Eddie is describing his arrival to heaven and all his worries and pain has faded. For example, "The sky around him changed again, to grapefruit yellow, then a forest green, then a pink that Eddie momentarily associated with, of all things, cotton candy. Did I save her? Did she live? Where.... is my worry? Where is my pain?". (Albom 21). This shows that Eddie was describing his experience after death and he had no worry or pain.

"Do you understand? Why we're here? This is not your heaven. It's mine". (Albom 42). This shows that since Eddie lived at Ruby Pier's his whole life the reader assumed it was his heaven. However, it's not his heaven.

This page shows how the captain knew Eddie was gonna try and rush the burning building to save someone but the captain shot him in the leg to save his life. Eddie seems angry at first but later understands why the captain did it.

This is significant to the story because it introduces the reader to the second person Eddie meets in heaven. The person Eddie meets in heaven is his Captain from the war in Vietnam. Eddie also seemed confused whether or not the Captain was the second person he meets in heavens and the Captain reassure him that he is. It also goes over the many things he learnt to do in war.

This is significant to the story because it shows Eddie in the hospital visiting his dad. His dad was in the terrible condition and wasn't even able to talk and it shows how even though his dad wasn't the best father to Eddie he still cared very much for his father. For example "He entered the room slowly. His father who for years had refused to speak to Eddie, now lacked the strength to even try." (Albom 136). This shows, that his dad wasn't happy with him and couldn't talk to him even if wanted to but Eddie was still there for his dad.

To summarize this page of the book it show Eddie angry and confused. At first Eddie expressing anger by demanding why his father can't hear him. For example, "Why can't my father hear me? He demanded. She smiled. "Because his spirit-safe and sound-is part of my eternity. But he is not really here." (Albom 111). This shows that Eddie is angry about the fact he can't see his father. Later in the page Eddie expresses confusion to the fact that this random girl is his 3rd person and that the other people he met he knew in his life while this girl was a stranger to him.

This page is very significant to the story because of many factors such as it played a role in the death of Eddie's father and how his dads relationship with his best friend was ruined. For example "He ran into the bedroom and saw Mickey grabbing his wife. Eddie's father hooler. He raised the hammer. Mickey put his hands over his head and charged to the door, knocking Eddie's father sideways". (Albom 134). This shows how Mickey was sexually assaulting Eddie's mom and Eddie's father was trying to beat him up. Later Mickey was drowning and Eddie's father had to save even though he sexually assaulted his wife.

To summarize this part of the story it shows how the connection between Ruby and Eddie. Ruby's husband was in the same room as Eddie's father and was present when Eddie's father died. Eddie then realize that even though they haven't met before they were still connected to each other and this was the reason why she was the third person she met in heaven

To summarize this page of the story Eddie is unsure if he deserves his place in Heaven. He talks about blood on his hands and the guards he had to kill to escape imprisonment. Heaven is formed by the thought or dreams of that person. He then goes on to admit that he avoided God for a long time and was surprised he was in heaven or that God knew he was there.

To summarize this page's importance Eddie figures that Marguerite doesn't know he never stop loving her. However, she knows because strong love is never lost between people. Eddie is just glad to be back with his wife but is still confused about of why she still looks the same as the day he married her. She shows that you can adapt your appearance to any time in life.

On this page it describes the remainder of Eddie's birthday's after the death of his wife and the reader can really see the difference in how he celebrates his birthday. Before when his wife was around he celebrated with people and it was a day that meant something. However, after his wife death he lost the whole meaning of his birthday and didn't celebrate or even look forward to it. It just became any other day.

On this page Eddie learns about the fact that there was someone in the burning building and it was a little girl. She was heavily burnt and Eddie felt regret and was desperately begging forgiveness. He couldn't believe what he had done but the girl didn't ask for much all she wanted was for him to wash him. This was symbolic of him washing away her pain and his own sins away.
