You need make sure it is in front of the punctuation unless the punctuation is in a quote. In those cases, you would place the cite after the quote and add a period after it if it's the end if the sentence.&nbsp;<br>Here are a couple made-up examples:<br>Max explains that the book said "the cat was under the couch the whole time!" (Kartwell 54).<br>97% of trees lose their leaves in fall (Carmen 34).<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

I knew about using ellipses to omit a part of a quote, but in order to be grammatically correct, it needs to have the spaces.&nbsp;To omit an entire line in a poem, a person would use an entire line of periods. </div>]]></description>

In only four pages, Kate Copin wrote one of the best stories I have read. The most surprising twist was that she was overjoyed because her husband died. When she decoved her not-so-dead husband she screamed and died. My second story I read was "Regret" by Kate Chopin. I honestly expected the story stories to be boring, but they are actually quite interesting. In this story a man decides to accept a bet that if he is imprisoned for 15 years, he will be giving two million dollars. This is was to prove that imprisonment is better than capital punishment. The man xpcan read and he learns a great deal, but at the end of it, he resents freedom.
