Here we are, we are in Washington, as the first day I would propose to visit two of the most significant places in Washinton: the pentagon in the morning and the white house in the afternoon.
The white house

One of the most famous and most visited "houses" in the world is certainly the White House, the official residence of the President of the United States and his family. This beautiful house was commissioned by the first President, George Washington, who never lived there as he died during the completion of the roof. The White House, in fact, was built between 1792 and 1800. Only since 1801 is it inhabited by the Presidents of the United States.
The Pentagon
The Pentagon is the headquarters of the US Department of Defense .
On 11 September 2001 it was one of the targets of the terrorist attacks that also affected the two Twin Towers in New York: this event cost the lives of 125 people working in the structure.

The building consists of over 28 km of corridors and has an area of 600,000 square meters on five floors. It is the largest office complex in the world, which hosts 40,000 people every day, including national security personnel, military personnel and diplomatic personnel.
