Now any teacher and above in a school account can simply create a class from their dashboard. Students can also be added and removed directly from the dashboard, instead of having to go through support or users' LMSes.

The tools will be accessible on the legacy domain until June 30, but they will no longer be maintained.

We're making this change so we can focus on developing our interactive, multi-media learning games. We have a lot of great new game types and features coming very soon that we think you'll love!

You can separately toggle post attribution and comment attribution. This means you can:

• Keep names for posts AND comments

• Keep names for posts OR comments

• Hide all names

When comment attribution is hidden, attribution will also be removed from all exports. Attribution will also be hidden in email and mobile app notifications for the following events:

• A new post/comment is added

• A user mentions another user in a post/comment

These notifications will not be affected (aka attribution remains visible):

• When a post is submitted and pending admin approval

• When someone edits your comment on a post

Note: if you have comment attribution disabled, it will hide names in the UI. However, if users are logged in when they post, you can retroactively turn attribution on.

Improvements that come with the top bar:

• More organized banner area for translation and approval

• No more anonymous attribution banner animation

• More beautiful buttons

When you scroll down, the top bar will disappear to make more room for your posts. When you scroll, you will see a "Back to top" button above "Post". Clicking this will move you to top. When you get to the top, it will change into a "back to previous" button so you can easily go back to where you were before

To explore, just open the post to expand and view the padlet. Based on your privacy settings, collaborators can interact directly to add posts and feedback. You can even embed TA games.

If you turn your padlet into a slideshow, padlets and games will also be embedded.

• Padlet for Schools + Teams users. Only search P4S/Teams members and existing external collaborators.

• Backpack users. Search all users in Backpack. No change.

You can still invite people by email.

In addition to the features you know and love from TA we've added a few more things:

• A new multiple choice game that includes audio, images, and explanations for why the correct answer is what it is

• The ability to remix a game with custom instructions like "make this game harder", "convert this to Spanish" or changing game type from ie flashcards to a matching game

• A unified game page so there's no more separate edit and play links

• A topic / file / link first creation experience where teachers can enter what they want their students to know and get game ideas based on that

As a side effect to finally using fonts meant for specific languages, there are 2 points to take note:

1. CJK fonts don't fully support italics as it is not a feature in the language

2. Mixed language boards (e.g. Simplified and Traditional Chinese) may see different fonts being served because our main font set for the user's language doesn't fully support the other language(s)

For example, on a connector, you can now set the color or the connecter type on either the shape's context menu, or the toolbar context menu, and your choice will be persisted when creating another connector.

Likewise for text shapes, your choice for color will remain for other text shapes you create. The font style for new text shapes you create however, will be based what you set as your sandbox theme font instead and is not persisted.

• Select up to 100 photos/files from the share sheet

• Each attachment now gets its own post, editable before publishing

• Apply color / section / location to all attachments in one shot

• Published posts now follow the selection order from Photos / Files

Users visiting private/protected padlets made by beta users can see the new pages.

Instead of English-only names like 'Brave Dolphin', a Spanish user would now see 'Pulsar Intrépido.'

We've launched this for English, Spanish, French, and Chinese (Simplified) with more languages to come

In your board settings, go to Engagement > Emoji reactions to adjust the type of reactions.

To add votes, scores, or ratings, go to Settings > Post fields > New custom field.

How it works

1.  A teacher creates a Padlet assignment in Google Classroom

2. Students open and submit their work via the Padlet attachment

3. The teacher grades posts in the Padlet grading panel

4. The teacher enables the Google Classroom Grade Passback toggle

5. Number grades are pushed back to each student's Google Classroom submission as a draft. Teachers can publish them.

Key UX enhancements includes:

• 🟢 System status surfaced directly in the nav/menu so users can check platform health instantly, no extra clicks needed

Administrators in Classroom and School libraries will be able to enable/disable Padlet Intelligence through the new "AI sidebar" setting, under "Permissions". Some important notes:

• The feature can only be enabled for Teachers and above. Students will not have access to Padlet Intelligence, and the setting is disabled for them.

• If the feature is enabled, only users in the Beta program will be able to access Padlet Intelligence.

• The default value for the "AI sidebar" setting is based on the "AI recipes" setting.

 With this change:

1. Links & Share sections are combined

2. On mobile devices, the Share panel will now be shown partially at 204px instead of full, so that you can just click on any of the shortcuts and go. You can drag up if you need the other share options.

3. If your device supports native share: "Share via" button will be present at the top

4. Otherwise, the Share via another app button will still be present in the Share section, and the subpanel has additional options for you to share to Microsoft Teams, Whatsapp and Line.

If you want to move through your cards in sequential order, like a presentation, you can click Slideshow at the top of your sandbox.

🎤 Presenter Mode
Admins can activate Spotlight to take the stage and sync all viewers to their current slide in real time. Viewers are kept in lock-step with the presenter throughout the session, and non-admins see a "Following the spotlighted presenter" label to give them context on what's happening.

🔁 Spotlight Transfer
Presenters can hand off spotlight control to another admin mid-session. The incoming presenter receives a confirmation dialog and has 30 seconds to accept before the request times out.

🧭 Redesigned Navigation Bar
The slideshow nav bar has been fully refreshed. Autoplay, Visit, and Spotlight are now consolidated into a clean action pill, slide previews appear on hover, and the presenter's avatar floats above their current position on the slide strip.

➕ Other Highlights

The release also includes full mobile support, a slide-aware QR code that can link directly to a specific slide, PDF export for slideshows, and a range of polish fixes across interactions and animations.

Spotlight also works alongside Slideshow Remote Control. Presenters can use their phone to advance slides wirelessly while Spotlight keeps all viewers in sync — useful if you want to move around during a presentation without losing the audience.

Admins can now set a school-wide default for this feature in Account Settings.

Key changes:

• Instead of auto-enrolling any existing accounts for an email, the invited user must explicitly accept the invite to join the school account.

• Exception: school accounts with user domains configured retain the old auto-enroll behavior for invited users matching that domain.

• Users can now reject an invitation to a school account. Upon rejection, the school admin or teacher who sent out the invitation receives an email notification.

Navigate to Settings > Members and click on a member. Click view info at the top. If you have password login enabled, you will be able to send a password reset link.

The panel shows key details like title, description, topic, subject, grade, item count, play time estimate, plays, saves, and duplicates/remixes. It also gives three clear next steps: duplicate the game, save it for later, or share it with a colleague.
