         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the Inca civilization there were people that were local administrators who oversaw settlements.<br><strong>Governors -</strong> <br>Ayllu was governed by a small number of nobles which included woman. There were four governers that reported to the supreme court of Cuzco. The most important where political, religious, and military roles within the empire which where kept in the hands of elite <em>(Cartwright).</em></div><div><strong>Taxes - </strong><br>When it came to taxes people had to paid with food, precious metals, textiles, exotic, dryers, and spondylus shells. Also woman were required to weave cloth and men had to work on construction projects, including canals, roads, or bridges; toil in the mines or serve in the army <em>(Cartwright).</em></div><div><strong>Land - <br></strong><em>Ayllu was a collection of households who worked in an area of land and lived together to provide mustual support in time of need. </em>Agricultural land and herds were divided into the parts: production for the state religion, the gods for the Inca ruler, and for the farmer's own use <em>(Cartwright).</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Inca civilization the Inca's represented the sun god Inti and the moon god Mama Kilya.<br><strong>Representing the gods - </strong><br>The Inca built two shrines for the sun god and the moon god. The gods where  represented by large precious metals which was worshipped by priests and priestess. The Inca's built a temple called The Pachacamac which was built in honor of the god with the same name, who created humans, plants, and was responsible for earthquakes (<em>William).</em><br><strong>Sacrificing - <br></strong>The Inca's sacrificed animals and humans including children. The Inca's would make offering to the gods like food, drinks, and precious material. The Incas also imposed their religion on local populations by building their own temples and scared sites <em>(Cartwright).</em> <br><strong>What they believed in -<br></strong>The people thought religion was important in the public and private lives of Inca. The Inca's believed that the whole world was created by the god Viracoch (<em>William). </em>The Inca's also believed that the wills of their gods and spirits could be understood by <em>divination, the study of magic signs </em>(<em>William)</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the Inca civilization goods were transported across the empire along purpose built roads using llamas and porters.<br><strong>The Road -</strong></div><div>The Inca roads where covered 40,000 km. The roads had resting station along their way and there relay system for the summer <em>(chasquis). Some of the rest stops were large structures with facilities to house the Inca army and storehouse to feed travelers. </em>The people also carried messages up to 240 km in a single day <em>(Cartwright). </em></div><div><strong>Trading goods - </strong></div><div>The Inca state produced fine pottery, cloth, items of precious stones, and metal work in silver, gold, and bronze that were used as gifts. The state also stockpiled food, weapons, and other goods to support the army and other workers  (<em>William).<br></em><strong>Getting around -<br>T</strong>he Inca's did not use any wheeled carts or vehicles which were useless on the mountainous roads. The emperor and nobles rode on litters. The Inca's also used boasts and rafts on the major rivers, lakes, and on ocean voyages along the Pacific coast <em>(William)</em>.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Inca's tried to please the god everyday but but some things that they did up set the gods.<br><strong>Disasters - </strong>The religion of the Inca world was avoiding such disasters as earthquakes, floods, and droughts <em>(Cartwright). </em>The gods spoke to people through oracles and expressed their anger by sending natural disasters (<em>William)</em></div><div><br><strong>Understanding the Gods - <br></strong>The Inca believed that the the will of their gods and spirits could be understood through <em>divination (magic signs). </em>The Inca tried not to upset the gods by giving food, drinks, precious material, and also sacrificing kids and animals to please there gods <em>(Cartwright). </em><br><em><br></em><strong><br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Inca civilization some men didn't want to fight in the army but when it came to war everyone man had to fight.<br><strong>Requirements - </strong>Every male from Inca was required to serve in the army at least once in his life. The Inca, like the Aztecs, had no bronze or iron for making weapons. The Inca's also recruited warriors from the tribes living in tropical forest (<em>Snedden 40</em>). <strong><br>Battles - </strong>At the start of battle, the soldiers attacked their opponents from a distance using slings and bowns. When the army got close enough they would attack by fighting with clubs and spears (<em>Snedden 40</em>).</div>]]></description>
