The new valuation helps iPeople for the crown position in the Philippine Education and Knowledge Management ecosystem. The fresh capital, in part, will be used to acquire more knowledge company startups.

iPeople Inc.'s success is attributed to its fundamental contribution to society by creating and passing on knowledge for its own sake and engaging with society in its application. iPeople today is an integral part of the Philippine society, actively participating in fulfilling its third mission, namely involvement in socio-economic development, thus becoming the third element of what has been described as the "triple helix" – the collaboration between Government, Industry, and Universities to create innovation and economic growth.

The output of iPeople school's research today can be divided into three main value streams:

•	Research (production and distribution of new knowledge through articles, publication, and access to research)
•	Education (the knowledge and "soft skills" of candidates)
•	Technology transfer (collaboration with the outside world, hiring of graduates by industry, consultancy, patent/licensing/spinoff companies)

A way to describe this exceptional value is the intertwined nature of these value streams – which can be described as a "knowledge ecosystem."

In the ecosystem lies the interaction between the three value streams, taking place at research intensive universities of the iPeople group and in relation to the outside world: The unique value produced in the space between research and education. Between knowledge exchange with the surrounding world and research. And between education and knowledge exchange.
